Doula Services
Every mother and baby are different, rendering each birth experience unique. I trust a mother’s intuition regarding where she wants to give birth, at home or in the hospital. By meeting the unknown, we release attachment to the outcome, since there is no guarantee of what your birth will look like. Ultimately I will help you find the security in the freedom of trusting your Self, and trusting the wisdom of your own body.
During labour I will remain in close proximity to the mother, exploring comfort measures which we will familiarize ourselves with in the weeks before labour. These include breath awareness, guided visualizations, massage, toning, optimal labour and birthing positions.

“TEA”: Time Energy and Attention is a key ingredient (K. Arias of Mama Muse). It is the recipe for a safe and undisturbed birth. Spending time together. It sounds simple, but it is often an after thought in busy prenatal practices. I have reconfigured my doula care to really get to know the parents I work with. Even sitting down and sharing a meal together. This develops the Oxytocin we know is the key to a good birth experience. I find that at least three, 3-hour prenatal sessions are essential to fostering a meaningful client~doula relationship as we prepare for the birth journey ahead.
